A MESSAGE TO OUR PATIENTS ABOUT COVID-19
Flint Hills Neuropsychology is open and operating under normal business hours. We are continuing to care for our patients.
If you have a scheduled appointment with us, please plan to keep this appointment unless you are experiencing symptoms like fever, cough, congestion, sore throat, or shortness of breath, OR if you have recently traveled to an area that has experienced an outbreak, OR if you live with/have had close contact with someone who has COVID-19. If you will not be able to attend, let us know as soon as possible. We will reschedule you as it is safe to do so, and as we have availability. You will not be moved to the end of the wait list or charged a late cancellation fee.
WE STRONGLY ENCOURAGE VIRTUAL VISITS. PLEASE CALL TO SEE IF WE CAN OFFER YOU TELEHEALTH SERVICES (DEPENDS ON INSURANCE AND SERVICES REQUIRED).
IF YOU WILL ATTEND AN IN-PERSON VISIT, WE ASK YOU TO WEAR A MASK PER GOV. KELLY’S RECENT ORDER. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE ONE, WE WILL PROVIDE ONE FOR YOU.
Below are frequently asked questions related to COVID-19 as it relates to our patients and community. The information on this page is subject to modification, pending guidance from the CDC, WHO, and/or Riley County Public Health Department.
Can I bring children and family members/caregivers to my appointment(s)?
We ask that no more than one additional adult comes to the appointments with the patient. For children, please do NOT bring siblings. If there are others who would like to share their observations, they are welcome to email those concerns to office manager Tricia at tdunning@flinthillsneuropsych.com. We could also teleconference additional people into the appointment. Please have their phone numbers.
Should I be worried about getting infected with COVID-19 at my appointments?
Flint Hills Neuropsychology has extensive infection control procedures in place. Know we will be mindful of physical touch and we will not offer handshakes, etc. Furniture, surfaces, and testing materials are thoroughly sanitized between patients, and disposable materials used where possible.
Is there anything I can do to reduce the risk to myself, my family and friends?
• Stay home when you are sick, and avoid close contact with people who are sick.
• Practice good hand hygiene frequently: Wash hands often with soap and water for at least 20
seconds. If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that
contains at least 60% alcohol.
• Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
• Disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a household cleaning spray or wipe.
